Giles Brook Primary School
School Clubs
During some half terms, the school staff and some of out parents run
clubs for children. These generally run after school on a Wednesday evening
from 3:30 until 4: 15 p.m.
Some of the clubs run by staff to date have included; gardening with
Key Stage 1 and planting bulbs for the Springtime, archaeology for Key
Stage 2 (you would be surprised what treasures we found!!), juggling
for KS2, cookery club, sewing club, art club, origami, I.C.T, debating
club, German, Samba, Percussion, sign language and a very active Wildlife
club.
We also run football training for children in Years 4, 5 and 6 which
takes place on a Thursday after school and
our year group teams have played matches against other schools. Netball
commences in the Spring Term for those in Years 4, 5 and 6.
The Choir, consisting of a large proportion of our Key stage 2 children,
meets on Thursday lunchtimes in our music room.
If any parents wish to
run an after school club, please speak with your class teacher or Angie
Bailey.
Giles Brook Football Team
This is for ALL children in years 4 to 6. The football club train at Tattenhoe Pavilion on Thursday after school from 4.00-5.00pm. There is a cost of £1
per week, payable a term at a time, to help cover the costs for a
trained football coach Nick Halasz and Mr David May.

Giles Brook Netball Team
The netball team is for children in years 5 - 6 and runs on
a Wednesday after school. 3.15-4.15pm. The club is run by teachers, Jo Popham and Laura Mackintosh. Any children interested in joinging a netball club outside of school should contact MK Netter's.
Giles Brook KORFBALL
Korfball is a new sport to Giles Brook School, run by one of our parents, Darren Gray who is a qualified Korfball coach for MK Roos, along with teacher Miss Nicola Powell. For a maximum of 20 children boys and girls in years 4, 5 and 6.
Giles Brook Choir
For children in key stage 2 from (year 3-6). The choir practice
every Monday lunchtime from 12.15-12.45. Children who join the choir
are expected to attend EVERY Monday practice and are offered the chance
to sing in front of the whole school and represent the school at various
events throughout the year.

Is run by two teachers Elinor Clare on a Wednesday after school.
Other Clubs
In the past teachers and parents have provided
the following clubs, this is not a guarantee that the club will take place
again: Juggling, origami, German, gardening, sign
language, computer club, art, archeology, sewing, debating, samba, wildlife
club and board games.
